Read it, then see it
Book-to-Movie Club
in collaboration with Sister Circle Marin
What to Expect
Read the book, see the movie, then talk it over with people who did too.
The Books-to-Movie Club is for anyone who has ever walked out of a theater saying “the book was better,” or secretly thought the movie was. Whenever a book heads to the big screen, we read it on our own time, then gather to watch the film together and compare notes. Books build community.

Pick up the book at The Phoenix or bring your own copy. There’s no pressure to finish, but you’ll probably have more to say if you do!
See it together
We go to the showing as a group. Grab your reserved seat with us (popcorn optional!)
After (and before!) we pause in the theater to talk about what the movie got right, what it left out, and which characters we’ll never forget.

Can I come just for the movie? Absolutely. Plenty of people read the book after they see the film.
Can I bring a friend? Yes. Just register them too, so we have a seat for them in our reserved section of the theater.
Who’s it for? Adult readers (and teens) who love a good story and a good argument about it.
