Let’s Take This Outside
This book club is meant to foster community and conversation while celebrating the beauty of Marin. Staying true to our commitment to sustainability, all our book club reads are overruns or remainders publishers have discarded or set aside for pulping.

We will be reading Tartufo by Kira Jane Buxton - a 2025 Washington Post Notable Work of Fiction. This book is FUNNY and heartwarming. It takes place in a small town in Tuscany and the community aspect was too good not to share!

An outdoor book club rooted in the beauty of Marin. We read together, meet outside, and talk about books in real life — not on a screen.

It's a French term meaning "in the open air" — traditionally used for painting outdoors. We borrowed it for reading. Same idea: take something you love, bring it outside, and let Marin be the backdrop.

We survey our members and curate each pick based on what the group wants to read. Every book is sourced from publisher remainders — books that were overprinted and would otherwise be destroyed.
