Let’s Take This Outside
This book club is meant to foster community and conversation while celebrating the beauty of Marin. Staying true to our commitment to sustainability, all our book club reads are overruns or remainders publishers have discarded or set aside for pulping.

We will be reading Husbands & Lovers- it’s a Goodreads Choice Award for Best Historical Fiction. Dual POVs, fabulous bicontinental setting and even an intriguing twist!
You can reserved your post with a beautiful new hardcover ($25), or if you just want to reserve your spot with no book that’s an option too! ($12)

An outdoor book club rooted in the beauty of Marin. We read together, meet outside, and talk about books in real life — not on a screen.

It's a French term meaning "in the open air" — traditionally used for painting outdoors. We borrowed it for reading. Same idea: take something you love, bring it outside, and let Marin be the backdrop.

Reserve your book + seat here or buy it at The Phoenix. Read it on your own time, before the meeting. Show up to the meeting and we'll do the rest.

No — you can pick up your book anytime the store is open and sign up for the meeting online.

Outdoors at beautiful locations across Marin. Our first meeting is August 11, 2026 at Marin Art & Garden Center in Ross. Our September meeting is at Old Mill Park in Mill Valley.

We survey our members and curate each pick based on what the group wants to read. Every book is sourced from publisher remainders — books that were overprinted and would otherwise be destroyed.
